With the holiday season right around the corner, come learn the secrets to a wide array of festive cocktails.  Perfect for entertaining, punches - beverages traditionally made with fruit or fruit juice - are making a huge comeback in the bar scene.  Join our resident Mixologist Angie Jackson and Mixologist Lynn House, Chief Mixologist for Blackbird Restaurant, for an afternoon filled with worldly holiday cheer via the punch bowl.  You will learn how to prepare the Bajan (Barbadian) Rum Punch, a sweet and sour punch that’s one of the oldest and simplest recipes on record.  Next you will mix and sample Colonial America’s Fish House Punch, dating back to 1848.  The classic Planter’s Punch will follow, and the class will conclude with a trip south of the border with Mexico’s Agua loca (“crazy water”), a sweet punch created using tequila or mezcal and horchata.  An added bonus, Angie and Lynn will show you how to create festive and seasonally-fresh ice molds, perfect for the upcoming holidays. Appetizers will be provided by the Chefs at Cooking Fools.
